Patch 7.2Base Stats
- Price2600g → 2500g
- AP+45 → +50
- Ability Haste+20 → +15
Rapids
- Now also triggers when the target healed is already at full HP.
- Ability Haste Granted+10 → +15
- AP Granted+20-40 (based on champion level) → +30-50 (based on champion level)
Our take
Staff of Flowing Water gets 100 gold cheaper while both its own AP and the buff it passes on go up. Like Ardent Censer it now fires on full-health allies, so handing the buff out before a fight starts is a real option. Passing over +15 ability haste and up to +50 AP briefly lifts an allied mage or enchanter to roughly a full item ahead of where they actually are.
Staff of Flowing Waters
Patch 7.1bBase Stats
- Mana Regen+0 → +50%
Our take
Staff of Flowing Water picks up 50% mana regeneration. The item is built around repeatedly healing or shielding to empower an ally, and whether the mana holds out decides how much of that you actually deliver. In lane there is less reason to ration abilities, so you can match your partner's trades instead of watching the bar. It also removes much of the reason to detour into a separate mana item.
Staff of Flowing Waters
Patch 6.3fFlowing Water Staff
- Healing and shielding effects: reduced
- Base stats: adjusted
- This lands alongside the Ardent Censer change as part of a general pull-back on enchanter items. The smaller heals and shields make it harder for one support to keep a focused carry alive on their own. With the base stats reworked as well, the item is worth weighing against what the support's own abilities bring rather than buying it for the buff alone.
