Stridebreaker patch history
Figures are as written in the official patch notes; the commentary is ours.
Stridebreaker
Patch 7.2cBase Stats
- Attack Speed+15% → +25%
Our take
Stridebreaker was not paying off for the attack-speed reliant champions it was designed for. Ten more points of attack speed finally make the chase-and-keep-hitting pattern work the way it should.
Stridebreaker
Patch 7.2Base Stats
- Cost: 3100g
- Recipe: Jaurim's Fist (1200g) + Phage (1000g) + Dagger (500g) + 400g
- AD: +40
- Max HP: +400
- Attack Speed: +15%
Breaking Shockwave (Active)
- Dash a short distance in the chosen direction, dealing physical damage equal to 100% AD to nearby enemies and slowing those hit by 40% for 3s. (25s cooldown)
Stride
- Dealing physical damage grants 20 movement speed for 2s.
- Bundling a dash and a slow into one item means melee fighters who used to lean on an active can now catch targets from their build alone. A 40% slow for 3s keeps a fleeing target inside your range, and the movement speed from the passive stretches how long you can keep hitting. The 25s cooldown is long enough that it is unreliable as an escape, so plan on spending it going forward rather than getting out.
Stridebreaker
Patch 6.3fStridebreaker
- Damage: reduced
- Stridebreaker is part of the same sweep across the offensive enchants. Counting the activation as a chunk of your damage no longer holds up, but its job of catching a target is untouched. If you were buying it for the damage, the cleaner read now is to cover damage elsewhere in the build and treat the enchant purely as mobility.
Champions who build Stridebreaker
Read from the "Popular" tab on the in-game loadout screen. Across 314 builds covering 142 champions, 4 build this item. Only 1 to 4 builds were captured per champion, so a champion missing here may still build it.
Where a champion runs the item in more than one build, the figures come from the build with the most picks. Nothing is averaged.
Items built alongside it
How often each item appeared in the same build. This is co-occurrence, not synergy — items favoured by popular champions rise to the top.
