Max Skill 1 first as the source of your overwhelming damage, then level Skill 2 for its Attack Speed and Movement Speed boost.
Draven Strengths
✓Very high damage from the early game
✓Strong snowball once a kill is secured
Draven Weaknesses
×Movement is predictable from axe landing spots
×Struggles when unable to snowball
Draven Early Game
Apply pressure from the start and take control of the lane. Keep catching your axes to build Passive stacks. Secure kills off your team's ganks or engages and start the snowball.
Draven Mid Game
Use your lane advantage to take the turret early, then move to other lanes to widen your team's lead. Catch enemies in careless positions and keep your gold lead.
Draven Late Game
Pay close attention to positioning and focus on keeping your axes going for sustained damage. No matter how fed you are, one assassin ambush or one hard CC can be fatal. Trust your team's peel and deal damage from a safe spot.
Draven Teamfights
Do not overextend in teamfights; stay in the backline and take down the enemy frontline one by one. Do not engage yourself. Follow up on your team's CC with your damage.
⚠️ Common Mistakes
Taking unsafe positions just to catch an axe
Sometimes a Skill 1 (Spinning Axe) lands in the middle of the enemy team or inside CC range. Do not walk there just to catch it for extra damage. Your movement becomes easy to read, and a hook or hard CC will take you down. No axe is worth your life; at times let it drop, keep a safe position, and stay alive.

Whirling Death
⏳ 70s
Hurls two massive axes, dealing 200 physical damage (200 + 150% bonus AD). The axes return to Draven when they reach the edge of the map, hit a champion or upon reactivation.
Deals 5% less damage for each target hit, down to a minimum of 50%. Enemy champions hit whose current Health is lower than Draven's Adoration stacks are executed. Upon reversal, the reduction is reset to deal full damage.
Spinning Axe and Whirling Death gain bonus AD ratio, so the gap widens as he builds Attack Damage. Blood Rush also grants 5 more points of Attack Speed at every rank, so he swings his axes more often.
Damage falloff per hit8% (minimum 40%) → 5% (minimum 50%)
NewEnemy champions hit whose current Health is lower than Draven's current Adoration stacks are executed.
Our take
Whirling Death gains an execute: if an enemy champion it hits has less current Health than Draven's current Adoration stacks, it kills them. Build stacks, then look for the throw.
Damage falloff per hit eases from 8% to 5% and the floor rises from 40% to 50%, so multi-hits keep more of their damage. The bounty drops, though — 80 to 60 base and 4 to 3 per stack.
