Galeforce added for chasing down fleeing enemies

When enemies you have damaged slip out of your attack range before you can finish them

Compared with build 2, the differences are Galeforce and the Ghost summoner spell. Galeforce's active dashes you in a target direction, letting you close the gap on a fleeing enemy. It also fires 3 missiles at the lowest HP enemy near your destination, prioritizing champions. The physical damage equals 40-125 (Lv) plus 35% bonus AD, and the active has a 60s cooldown. Ghost's duration is extended and its effect resets each time you score a kill or assist, so the speed boost returns to its original value.

Build 2DuoWin rate 55.09%Picks 5,514

Mercurial Scimitar added to break out of crowd control

When the enemy team brings heavy crowd control other than knock-ups and knockbacks

Compared with build 1, the differences are Mercurial Scimitar and Barrier, a summoner spell that grants a shield. Mercurial Scimitar's active removes all crowd control debuffs from you and makes you immune to crowd control for 0.25s. When that immunity ends, you gain 30% Tenacity and 30% Slow Resist for 1.5s (60s cooldown). It cannot be used while airborne or knocked back, but against other crowd control you can break free and keep attacking. Build 2 totals +210 Attack Damage, +40 Magic Resistance and +12% Lifesteal.

Jinx Strengths

  • ✓High attack and movement speed once her passive triggers.
  • ✓Long-range AoE damage from the Rocket Launcher at a safe distance.
  • ✓Map-wide kill secure potential with her global Ult.

Jinx Weaknesses

  • ×Low self-peel due to having no escape abilities
  • ×Weak early game that needs time and items to scale
  • ×Needs a takedown to trigger her passive before her real damage comes online

Jinx Early Game

Use the long range of your Rocket Launcher (Skill 1) to poke safely and keep farming. You are vulnerable to ganks, so manage the wave and avoid overextending.

Jinx Mid Game

Trigger your passive with tower takedowns or kills and assists, then press the advantage. Layer your Skill 3 traps on top of allied CC in a CC chain so the target cannot get away.

Jinx Late Game

A full-build Jinx has some of the highest DPS among ADCs. Once your passive procs, you can push the fight to a finish, so work with your team to secure that first takedown.

Jinx Teamfights

Stay behind your frontline and melt the closest targets first. The moment your passive procs, move forward and chase down the fleeing enemies to finish the fight.

⚠️ Common Mistakes

Staying in Rocket Launcher form at close range

Keeping the Rocket Launcher out while a bruiser or assassin is on top of you is a mistake. Its lower attack speed drops your DPS. Switch to the Minigun right away for the attack speed buff and kite them in close fights or against a single target.

Jinx Combos

Basic Harass

Poke at long range with the rocket launcher, slow with Skill 2, then swap to the minigun.

Our take

Super Mega Death Rocket! gains 10 seconds of cooldown at rank 1 and 5 at rank 2, with rank 3 unchanged. Its bonus AD ratio falls to 12% at the low end and 120% at the high end.

Attack Damage per level drops from 4.5 to 4 as well, which is 7 less by level 15 and a thinner late-game base.

Buff

Base Stats

  • Base AD54 → 58
  • Get Excited!
  • Attack Speed12% → 25%

Our take

Jinx was still falling behind even after the crit items were buffed, so she gets help on both ends. The extra 4 base AD steadies her lane trades and her last-hitting, while the near-doubled attack speed on Get Excited! makes her follow-up after a takedown far more dangerous. One kill in a teamfight now often carries straight into the next.

Buff
  • Switcheroo!
  • Rocket damage ratio: increased
  • This gives Jinx back through her kit what the item changes took away. The higher ratio on the rocket form pays off most when several enemies are packed together, so hitting the whole group is worth more than it used to be. It also makes standing off at range and chipping away at a contested objective a more reasonable way to spend the fight.
