Void Staff
Patch 7.2Base Stats
- Cost: 3000g
- Recipe: Void Amethyst (1000g) + Needlessly Large Rod (1400g) + 600g
- AP: +95
- MR Penetration Rate: 40%
- At 40%, this remains the highest percentage penetration among mage items and the go-to answer for cutting through stacked magic resistance. The 95 AP means filling that slot costs you nothing in raw damage. In a game where nobody buys magic resistance, though, the penetration does very little and it becomes an AP stick. Check the enemy build before you commit — if their MR is not climbing, something like Cryptbloom may serve you better.
Void Staff
Patch 7.2- This item's effect has been adjusted to match the ranked version.
- The mode-specific numbers are gone and the item behaves exactly as it does in ranked. Builds you are comfortable with in ranked carry over directly, so there is no second set of values to memorise. When to buy Void Staff and how to time it against the enemy composition can be judged on the same basis as in ranked.
Champions who build Void Staff
Read from the "Popular" tab on the in-game loadout screen. Across 314 builds covering 142 champions, 30 build this item. Only 1 to 4 builds were captured per champion, so a champion missing here may still build it.
