Hero Roster and Role Guide
All 119 Honor of Kings Global heroes, grouped into six roles. Every hero page carries this site's own strategy write-up — from laning to team fights — plus recommended combos, transcribed from and checked against the in-game display.
Roles and Classification
Heroes are grouped into six core roles based on their primary kit design.
- Tank — High durability and engage potential. Absorbs damage on the front line in Clash Lane or Roam.
- Fighter — Balances sustained damage and survivability. Holds and pushes the Clash Lane.
- Assassin — High single-target mobility and burst damage. Ganks from the Jungle to eliminate squishy targets.
- Mage — Ranged area-of-effect magical damage and crowd control. Controls the Mid Lane.
- Marksman — Ranged sustained physical damage scaling into late game with items. Primary damage dealer in Farm Lane.
- Support — Protects allies with shields, healing, and movement utility while setting up team fights. (Roam)
Hero Details Overview
Opening a hero shows the per-level damage and cooldown table for every skill, which skill to raise first (from the official app), the heroes they struggle against and pair well with — each with a written reason — recommended combos, a lane-by-lane strategy write-up, and that hero's patch history.
Base stats are shown for the 113 heroes whose figures we could verify against the in-game display. For the remaining 3 the section is hidden rather than filled with a placeholder.

FAQ
Why do hero names differ between the English and Japanese pages?
The Japanese pages use each hero's name as the game displays it in Japanese, while the English pages use the official English name. Augran and Ao'yin, for example, are listed under kanji names on the Japanese pages. The search box on the Japanese hero list also accepts English names, so typing Augran still finds the hero.
Is the "Counters & Synergies" section on hero pages based on official data?
The "Counters & Synergies" section is this site's own write-up, not official data. Each entry is based on the heroes' kits, not on win rates, and explains why one hero struggles against another or why two heroes work well together. The "Frequently Paired With" section on the same page does come from the official HoK Camp. Its figures show how often heroes end up on the same team, so a higher number does not mean they work better together.
Where does the "First Skill to Level Up" pick come from?
The pick comes straight from the official HoK Camp. What you see is as of the day it was fetched and can differ from what HoK Camp shows now. Each hero page gives that date just below its First Skill to Level Up section.
How many difficulty levels do heroes have?
Heroes are rated on 4 in-game difficulty levels, labeled Easy, Normal, Hard and Very Hard on this site. Of the heroes listed, 15 are Easy, 42 are Normal, 44 are Hard and 15 are Very Hard. The other 3 have no difficulty listed, so they won't show up under any difficulty filter.
How many hero roles are there?
There are 6 roles: Tank, Fighter, Assassin, Mage, Marksman and Support. In total, 42 heroes have more than one role. Mulan, for example, is both a Fighter and an Assassin, so she shows up in the hero list under either filter.
